The last floating city. Perhaps the last shred of human life in this world. The ground fell away centuries ago, and now Haven, held aloft by a mysterious crystalline artifact, is all that remains above the clouds.
The city is composed of four separate islands. Crown - population 73,000 - is the largest and most heavily-populated island, and houses most of Haven’s major guilds as well as the Crystal itself. Colkirk - population 17,000 - is the city’s bread basket, a verdant island of wheat fields and orchards. Vahmir - population 10,000 - is the headquarters of the Haven Defense Force. Its hangars house the bulk of the city’s aircraft, as well as their pilots. Cirrus - population 22,000 - is the poorest and most densely-populated of Haven’s island, containing many of the city’s metalworking and recycling plants.
The fifth island - Sanctum, home to Haven’s archives and the Keeper guild - was destroyed in a recent attack. Today, its remains litter the west end of Colkirk.
Haven has managed to survive and stay aloft for centuries, but lately, near-constant war and severely limited resources have pushed the city to its breaking point. Haven is hanging by a thread, and as the Crystal decays, it sinks lower by the day.
