Sam Frederich is an LA-based animator and filmmaker with a knack for offbeat, original stories and worlds. The son of a paratrooper, he’s been fascinated with flight ever since he first peered out a C-130 window and imagined what could be beneath the clouds outside.
Sam is a recent film grad from Carleton College, and his directing career includes the Lynchian fantasy RABBIT HOLE, the poignant aquatic love story FLOTSAM, the quirky post-apocalyptic pilot FILM QUEST, and the Douglas Adams-inspired HELLEVATOR. His work has played at numerous festivals, won several notable awards including Best Animated Short at Boston Sci-Fi, and been hailed as "good" and "so good." He'll talk your ear off about Now And Then, Here and There and really, really wishes he could sing.
